Consultation with dentist
On the dental chair, our dentist will welcome you with warm greeting and confirm the medical history including allergy before we start. A thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth will be carried out to look for signs of disease and other problem. By identifying and treating small problem as early as possible, we can maintain your good oral health and prevent pain and discomfort.
If necessary, our dentist may recommend X-ray to help in our diagnosis. Some dental problem may left unnoticed without X-ray examination such as early decay between teeth, impacted teeth, lesion in the jaw, cyst or even tumour. Modern dental imaging tools emit low radiation dose, combining with necessary precaution measures, you can rest assured that the benefits outweigh the risks. We always follow strict safety guideline and try to keep radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA principle).
How often should I have a regular dental check-up?
For most people, the answer is once every 6 months. In some situation, our dentist might suggest more frequent visit to maintain your oral health at optimum level. If you have impeccable oral hygiene by brushing and flossing daily and hardly develop a cavity, we are happy to see you at longer interval.
Patient with major dental dental work such as orthodontic (braces) or dental implants should visit at recommended interval to keep their investment in optimum condition to ensure long term success.
